90+ videos for Ubisoft's large-screen campaigns across the entire Nordics
For the launches of Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin's Creed Valhalla we produced more than 90 DOOH videos adapted to over 40 of the largest large-format screens and abribus panels in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
Ubisoft needed to launch two of the year's biggest game titles — Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin's Creed Valhalla — in the Nordic market via Digital Out-of-Home. The challenge was enormous in its complexity: more than 40 different media formats across four countries, each with its own technical specifications for file size, frame rate, bit rate, codec and aspect ratio. The original key art and video material not only needed to be adapted — on more than half of the formats, static elements had to be converted into full animations.
We took Ubisoft's original key art, video spots and packshots and adapted all material to each individual format. On more than half the formats we animated static elements from the key art — characters, light beams, fire, smoke and other animatable details — to bring life and movement to the screens. Each format was then exported precisely to the media owners' specifications. The production covered everything from giant abribus panels to iconic large-format screens such as Stureplan in Stockholm, where three separate videos together cover the entire building facade, and Kungsgatan, where the video functions as a backdrop with the building's own windows as a natural frame.
