We built Denmark's most complete cinema platform — powered by AI
SF Studios previously sent campaign traffic to kino.dk — a platform covering only 47 of Denmark's 185 cinemas. We built MUVI from scratch: an AI-driven cinema platform that aggregates all showtimes in one place.
SF Studios lacked a dedicated platform to collect and display showtimes across Danish cinemas. When they ran campaigns, they sent traffic to kino.dk — but that platform only covers 47 of Denmark's 185 cinemas. This meant a large share of potential cinema-goers never saw their nearest cinema or the correct showtimes. SF Studios needed a campaign-ready destination they owned and controlled.
We developed MUVI — a bespoke cinema platform built from scratch for SF Studios. The platform aggregates real-time showtimes from all 185 Danish cinemas and serves as a powerful campaign destination across SF Studios' media buys. The frontend was built with AI-assisted development (vibe coding), and the platform includes an integrated AI assistant restricted to searching MUVI's own films and showtimes — up to 6–8,000 at any one time. The AI also uses the user's GPS location to recommend the nearest cinema and relevant films. In the backend we integrated an AI news generator that scans the web daily for relevant film news and can automatically generate content for the platform. SF Studios has full access to Google Tag Manager, so they and their media agencies can set up tracking and measure the impact of campaigns accurately. Analytics run via Matomo.
